DCC and Sound version features ESU LokSound V5 Decoder. Analog (DC) version has 21 pin socket for DCC module.
Bowser does not recommend LOK sound locos for use on DC layouts.

Lehigh Valley July 68 scheme

In July of 1968, the Lehigh Valley Railroad Company received ALCo sales proposal "DL OA-306" for 10 Century 430 locomotives with high adhesion trucks, priced at $224,375.00 each.

We believe our paint scheme represents Lehigh Valley's intentions if they had purchased the C430.

Rock Island

According to an article in "Diesel Era", the Rock Island placed an order for 10 C430's (S.O. 21278 for 10 units to the Rock Island)

This order was canceled prior to ALCo closing its plant. We believe our paint scheme represents Rock Island's intentions had they purchased the C430.
